I went into the show room and the sales person Carol helped me. I was a returning customer from 11 years prior. She was a very helpful salesperson. The vinyl I purchased was going to cost me $ 2,200.00 - it was only for an 8 x 10 room a small hallway and a closet. The person that came out to my condo to measure (already with my measurements in hand) - had no time for me - he was in my condo for about 10 minutes if that and I had to help him hold his metal tape. He did not let me ask him any questions about the installation etc. He ran out the door. I returned the next day to ask some questions and the original sales person was not there - I believe this women's name was Arlene/Marlene? She was sitting there cracking her gum. I told her I was there to look at the flooring choice again and put down the deposit. She said go ahead - did not even get up from her chair to take me back to the show room. I should have canceled my order. She told me Mike from the day before had a lot going on - two people called out - and he was leaving for a convention the day he was at my condo. I did place the deposit and made the appointment to have the installation done. Needless to say I had to talk to another Install department Sam. - to rap this up - the install - 9:30am showed up at 11am - they broke an antique piece of furniture - left there water bottles and trash all over my condo. Used my laundry soap to wash their hands and spilled it all over my bathroom and shelf where they found it. There was glue all over the floor and a trail out my front door all the way down to where they were parked. The broke a shoe rack that was over a door and threw expensive shoes all over the floor and then threw the excess vinyl on top of my clothes that were emptied from the closet and the broken shoe rack and floor. The seam from the bedroom to the hall way was already lifting up. When I went to talk to Oscars Williamstown NJ - the same salesperson was there and stated to go talk to the man sitting at the end. I did not recognize him that he was the same guy that wanted nothing to do with the measuring of my floor to begin with since he ran in and out. Yes it was Mike. He did not want to see the pictures I took of the damage and the way the install went. He would not credit me for the broken furniture and damage done to the condo wall etc. All he said was he would send the same guy back that put the floor in. Lesson learned after being treated like a second rate citizen the day he came out to measure I should have went elsewhere. $ 2200.00 for an 8 X 10 room and not customer service. I paid cash I did not want to finance. Oh and on the best note of all. I was told by the install guy that this guy Mike own's Carpet one in Willianstown NJ. Buyer beware.
